What is the science behind protein drinks

You are looking for a research article that is published in a peer-reviewed journal; not an article published in a magazine like Muscle Magazine. This magazine is an example of a publication for the lay public that is not peer-reviewed. The journal article you select should be a research study related to energy drinks and sports.

A research article is not a review article. A research article reports the results from a research study. You can tell the difference between a research article and a review article, because a review article summarizes several research studies.

Go to the following website: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez. In the search bar at the top (cursor most likely will be blinking in this box), enter “energy drinks”. Once you have decided which article you would like to review, get that article from the library. We talked about strategies for finding articles in Forum 1b.

1.list your selected article,
2.provide the reference for your selected article using APA format shown below,
3.describe the study and the results,
4.state what the study concluded,
5.evaluate the article. Do you think the study made appropriate conclusions from its data? Was the study designed correctly to address the hypothesis?
6.Does the study support the hypothesis that energy drinks are safe? If yes, tells how. If no, again tells how.
